Valentine's Day Eligibility

This has been making me laugh/smile all morning long... Becca forwarded me an email from Sean about getting people together for dinner tomorrow night for those who don't have "other plans." Here are the eligibility requirements for partaking in this dinner: You need to be either: 1. Single or 2. In a relationship that is falling apart.

I don't mean to laugh at someone's sad situation (as outlined in #2) but it is nice to know that only certain people meet these eligibility requirements. I mean others have all kinds of options on Valentine's Day, but if you fit one of the two above, only you can go to this dinner. It has to make you feel like you're in this exclusive club.... (okay, so maybe not, but you have to feel cool that not everyone can go.... ; )

In other news, it is sad for Michelle Kwan that she won't be able to compete for a potential gold medal in these Olympics. The only consoling thing I can say is, who wants a medal with a hole it in? Sure, it's symbolic, but come on! You work your whole life for the whole medal not just 2/3 of it. Which brings up the question of where did the hole go? Will there be a presentation of the tiny gold medals at some point? Hey, maybe we can give Michelle Kwan an honorary medal hole for her contributions to the sport...
