Oh, the people you'll see...
Quick wrap up on this weekend. Went to the Memorial Tournament on Saturday and ran into Jack Hanna (photographed above). Jack and I also flew on a plane to Boston together a few years back so I'm sure he remembered me : ) haha
Last night I found out that former OSU football player and now ESPN Gameday commentator Kirk Herbstreit (photo below) goes to my church. Who knew? Of course today I scan the crowd and what do you know, I saw him there! (this was after the service of course...)It's funny who you see in a crowd when you know who to look for! I think sportscasters must be drawn to our place for some reason since two local TV sports reporters and their families go there too as does the "OSU football historian" Jack Park (www.jackpark.com). (Jack and his wife I think are the only people I have ever struck up a friendship with just by sitting near them at church!) It still makes me laugh to think about it. I saw them at a July 4th party one year and we chatted about how we always sit near each other and we've been talking ever since. I guess I have an "in" to OSU football history!
Later this week I venture to DC and Baltimore so maybe I can add some more interesting people to my list!
