Not his brightest moment....

My longtime friend's boyfriend is a great gift giver. He's done the flower thing, he's sent her brownies while she was on a business trip, he's had chocolates sent to her apartment, he's ordered some of her favorite soft drink to be shipped to her for no apparent reason, he's bought a DVD off of eBay of a movie she talked about wanting, etc., etc. In general, he's done a good job in the gift department---almost to the point of making her friend's boyfriends really wish the guy would STOP because he's making them look bad!

Well, as with everything in life, at some point, all good things have to come to an end. This year the end was Christmas. His gift might have had less of a negative impact if he hadn't billed as it "coming from a store that has an armed guard there!" Most women would immediately think this has to be jewelry, yet it wasn't--it wasn't even close to being jewelry. What was this gift that had an armed guard at the door, you might ask. It was a car washing kit.....apparently the Advanced Auto Parts store in Maryland has an armed guard there, who would have guessed. The kicker is, she would NEVER hand wash her car! Like I said, not the guy's brightest moment ; )
