Bringing you back down to reality
You always hear the stars say when they go home, the people closest to them don't really care that they're famous. They still have chores to do and grandma still complains that you don't call her enough.
Today I sort of realized that my family falls into that "bringing you back down to reality" category too. I told my dad about a glowing (fabulous, outstanding) recommendation a friend had received from one of their mentors. After I read it to my dad, he says "Wow that is good. Really though, you wonder if the person deserves all that?"
Nothing like deflating someone's balloon to keep your head out of the clouds.... ; )
