Politics aside...
I've been glued to the TV tonight watching the coverage of Ted Kennedy. When I interned at the Statehouse our program went to DC for a week and got to briefly meet Sen. Kennedy. It was surreal to be in his office and see all these photos of the Kennedy family and think, to us, these are pics from magazines, but to him these are his relatives. It brought about a reality to the man aside from his public persona. Politics aside, it's remarkable for a man who encountered such public tragedy in his life and dealt with his own personal choices, to be able to continue on and fight for what he believed.
