Making a Place for Belonging--Book Review

This book is so beautifully written and about such a great topic that resonates with so many of us about creating a place of connection and home. The author uses intricate details of the different trees of the places she has lived as she tells her story of "placemaking." To be honest, I didn't care as much for the trees throughout the book as I did her beautiful language to describe why some places felt so much like home and how some felt like a desert of not belonging. Her wonderful description of her current homestead and all of the hospitality they offer there makes me want to visit it! Plus, the book encouraged me to take the time, energy and money to make my home a "place" for people to gather and feel welcome here.
